We are happy to announce that the Midwest Musclecar Challenge will be back in May 2020. We will post info specifically regarding the 2020 event schedule, registration details, and rules shortly. Registration will be opening on January 1st, 2020 at 1:00PM CST.
It’s Back! By popular demand we are bringing back The Midwest Musclecar Challenge. This is a three element event open to pre 87 domestic model year vehicles. Putnam Park Road Course, in Mount Meridian, Indiana, and the Terre Haute International Airport, located in Terre Haute, IN. The elements include road course, street driving and autocross.
The high horsepower fun will begin on Friday May 15, 2020. with the Hot Lap Challenge. Putnam Park Road Course is a 1.87-mile, 10-turn, highly technical facility. A full day on the road course assures everyone plenty of track time and there will be instruction available for novices or those that want to improve their existing skills. Ten Tenths Motorsport will be providing instructors for the Putnam Park Road course.
The track day will be followed by a cruise that will end with a catered dinner for the participants, this element will highlight the road handling manners of the vehicles and give all the participants an opportunity to relax after a day at the track.
Saturday May 16, 2020 the morning promises lots of activity for the day and the Terre Haute Air Port is the ideal location to continue the high-octane extravaganza!
The nearly unlimited size of the Air Center allows for the creation of a one-of-a-kind Autocross course that will thrill both the drivers and spectators and push the entries to the ragged edge of performance.
Lodging: We always recommend the Super 8 by Wyndham in Cloverdale, IN1020 North Main Street, Cloverdale, Indiana 46120 1-844-367-1456 There is plenty of overnight trailer parking here. There are other hotels in the area that are great as well. No blocks of rooms are needed, as the Super 8 has discounted rates already.
This event is a non-profit event with the proceeds going to the Lawrence County Cancer Resource Center.
